Pumpkin Patch

Its that time of year when the leaves change colors, the smell of chimney smoke, the wearing of sweaters and light jackets, and the sounds of children playing at the pumpkin patch. We got to experience the pumpkin patch a week ago with the Mosers and Huffmans. This was the first time we did this with our own little one. Often we are the couple without the kids and we get to play and run with other peoples kids, but this time we have our own kiddo to watch after. Although she is not the age to run around or even enjoy the pumpkin patch, we still had to make sure to meet her needs as well. Besides that, we had fun watching the kiddos who can run around do so and Michael got his chance at playing with them as well (he is very good at that).

As fun as Pumpkin patches are, they can also be sad too! Well maybe only when you are hungry and your only way to communicate is to cry.

I love the crying picture. Michael, would you quit pinching that baby. Jeanette you have the perfect crying face, must have had a lot of practice as a little girl!:) I kept trying to see this picture on facebook, but it wouldn't come up, so thanks for posting it here.
love you all,

Anna says "We went to a pumpkin patch, too! Did you carve a pumpkin and paint a pumpkin, Jeanette? That's what we did, Jeanette."
Josie says "Thank you, Maia Sage, for letting us see pictures of her" and Anna says "Thank you for that too."

We did not carve a pumpkin, Anna, but we did get a blue hubbard squash in which I am thinking about making a pie with.

I love the pumpkin patch pictures! You must have gone with the Mosers and the Huffmans. I'm glad you guys have friends around. Lately, Jack and Caroline keep calling Naomi on the phone, so she is definitely remembered around here! The final picture is priceless.
